Escape to Fermain

August 30, 2017 /

We are excited to be able to offer TWO chances to win a night’s stay in Fermain tower following completion of the exciting renovation project we have undertaken with The National Trust of Guernsey. Our scheme to convert Fermain Tower into a quirky holiday retreat is entering a new phase, with fundraising underway we’re hoping that islanders will support the Trust in making this a fantastic place to relax and enjoy its stunning surroundings.

To show off this amazing development we would like to give islanders the opportunity to win an overnight stay in the newly renovated and historic tower that has been a staple in Guernsey’s culture.

There are TWO ways to enter this exciting competition – and TWO chances to win an overnight stay.

1 – Photography Competition

Take a photograph of what inspires you to spend time by the sea. Whether it’s walking the dog on Pembroke bay, trekking across the south coast cliffs, or simply grabbing a coffee and sitting at Bordeaux – we want to see those special moments captured on camera. Simply like our Facebook page and post your photo to our wall here: https://www.facebook.com/CCDArchitects/

2 – Donate

The National Trust have been fundraising for renovations to develop Fermain Tower into a highly sought after holiday hideaway in Guernsey.  The second way to enter the competition is to simply donate a minimum of £5 to their Fermain Tower appeal giving page here, referencing CCD Architects (and making sure to enter your name and email address): https://giving.gg/donate/event/1153/The-Fermain-Tower-Appeal and you will be entered into the draw.

There is nothing to stop you from entering both ways to increase your chance of winning!

On the 31st October, we will pick a name from the donations draw and choose a favourite photograph from our Facebook page and announce the two lucky winners.

The competition closes at midnight on the 31st of October. We will draw a name from the donations and choose our favourite photograph, announcing the winners in early November.

Keep an eye on our social media pages for the announcement and reminders throughout September and October – you have plenty of time to take that inspiring photograph for a chance to win a one-off chance to stay at a stunning location on the island before it becomes booked up.

See below for our terms and conditions:

T&Cs – The ‘hotel’ is only designed for 2 adults and so entrants must be over 18.

The winners will have the opportunity to book their 1 night as soon as the booking facilities are operational by the National Trust of Guernsey, and they will be given the opportunity to extend their stay, subject to availability, at their own cost.

As the Trust have not determined all the details of the running of the tower then there may be restrictions which CCD are not aware of and CCD reserve the right to liaise with the winner to fulfil the competition prize to the best of their ability.

The prize is for ‘bed only’ and no food is to be provided.

All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.

Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.

Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to CCD to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.

All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of CCD and accordingly they may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to CCD as a result thereof.
