Amelia graduated from the Welsh School of Architecture in July 2014 with a BSC (Hons) in Architecture, joining CCD in August 2014 as a Part 1 Trainee Architect. Whilst working at CCD Amelia continued to study towards a Masters Degree, completing design modules and research assignments, as well as working full time at CCD in order to fulfil the 4th Year “Design in Practice” part of a 5 Year Architecture Course at the WSA.
Following a further year studying at Cardiff University Amelia completed the MArch degree and returned to CCD in 2016 as an RIBA Part 2 ‘Trainee Architect’.
Amelia’s roles include assisting with design work alongside the practice’s more senior Architects, producing working drawings, visualisation and graphic presentations, as well as assisting on contract administration tasks and carrying out measured surveys, all of which are greatly broadening her knowledge.
The varied projects undertaken by CCD enable Amelia to get involved with a range of architectural styles and approaches enriching her personal understanding and enabling her to gain valuable experience before undertaking the professional exams required to become a fully qualified Chartered Architect.
