A specialist in Interior Architecture Chris studied Architecture at Kingston University and took a Master’s degree in Interior Design at De Montfort University. Chris also has a substantial interest in Building Technology, working for a local Building Surveyor and studying Building Studies HNC on his return to the island in 1990.
With a view to putting this combination of knowledge to creative use Chris joined an advertising agency where he was solely responsible for the agencies interior portfolio. Involved in projects in London, Sydney and Guernsey the agency locally produced Battens Restaurant which was awarded Best Restaurant at the National Industry Awards.
On leaving the agency in 2000 Chris has become progressively more involved with the design of the building envelope and has a particular interest the synergy between internal and external aesthetics, and designed and work packaged the construction of a house for his family.
Not withstanding this, Chris has continued to produce interior projects in Guernsey and London, including Brady Hairdressing Salon which won the Design Award at the Hairdressing Business Awards and Vivo Restaurant, Angel Islington, which on its opening last year was invited to enter the International Bar and Restaurant awards.
