Neil is an experienced architectural technologist and designer, working for over 25 years in the public and private sectors on a very wide variety of projects.

He is also a long established professional artist in his own right. He joined CCD in 2009 to provide technical assistance to the practice having stepped down from a full time position as an Associate Director with a Chartered practice in the UK, wishing to spend more time on his art.Within CCD Neil carries out measured surveys, prepares design and technical drawings and produces hand drawn presentation art work and paintings.

He is particularly skilled in working with the classical orders, and has notable expertise in fine detailing of all types of masonry and joinery detailing. At CCD he works on a variety of projects, specialising in individual high quality residential commissions.

As well as having expertise in traditional detailing, he also regularly develops innovative solutions for the construction of cutting-edge or contemporary designs.Aside from working for the practice Neil is also able to devote time to his art, particularly focussing on producing aviation and automotive works.

He is an Associate of the Guild of Aviation Artists and has exhibited attheir annual ‘Aviation Paintings of the Year Exhibition’ many times. In 2011 he was awarded Highly Commended for `Aviation Painting of the Year Award’ and for `The Royal Air Force Museum Prize’. His paintings hang in prestigious corporate and private collections around the world including the RAF Club and the RAF Museum at Cosford.

Neil has wide ranging skills – as well as producing expert results in the traditional mediums of oil painting and pencil drawing he is also a CAD ‘Guru’! In Neil we are thus lucky to benefit from the uncommon fusion of top artistic and skilled technical ability.
