Andrew B. Dyke

Andrew B. Dyke BA(Hons) BArch(Hons) RIBA

Consultant Architect

Andrew and his former partners created Cresswell, Cuttle and Dyke in 1981 and he was Managing Director from 1997 until 2021. Andrew has overseen over 3000 building projects, ranging from domestic extensions to the largest private houses on the island during his forty-year career at CCD; doctors’ surgeries to the new hospice; farmhouses to manor houses; office blocks to museums. Andrew has worked on many of the Island’s most important historic buildings including Castle Cornet, Sausmarez Manor, the Town Church and Maison Victor Hugo. On the contemporary side, Andrew designed the widely acclaimed, award-winning “L’Escargot” and has followed that with a succession of outstanding bespoke houses in both contemporary and traditional styles. Landscape architecture forms an integral part of many projects; Andrew believes strongly in the inter-relationship of architecture and landscape, and many of his buildings reflect this sensitivity to their surroundings. Andrew continues to be active in the practice, as well as regularly lecturing on a variety of architectural topics to a wide range of audiences.

Stuart Pearce

Stuart Pearce BSc(Hons) MScArchCons MRICS

Managing Director & Conservation Surveyor

Stuart is CCD’s resident historic buildings expert. He gives advice on some of Guernsey’s most significant historic buildings including: the Town Church and many of the other Bailiwick churches; the Little Chapel; Sausmarez Manor; as well as the National Trust of Guernsey’s portfolio of property. The range of professional advice offered on our historic building projects is vast; from guidance to homeowners on minor repairs and maintenance through to multimillion-pound refurbishment work on sensitive historic houses. Stuart graduated with an Honours Degree in Building Surveying from University of Brighton and received his Chartered status in 2000. During this time, he developed his passion for historic buildings, particularly Guernsey’s churches and vernacular architecture, which led him to complete a Master’s Degree in Architectural Conservation at Edinburgh College of Art.

Esther Male

Esther Male BSc(Hons) B.Arch ARB RIBA MCIArb

Associate Director & Chartered Architect

Since joining the practice in 2005, Esther has been project architect on a wide range of commissions across the CCD portfolio. These include domestic extensions and barn conversions, conservation and re-purposing work on historic buildings, civic and commercial projects. Esther’s professional qualifications include BSc in Architectural Studies with honours from University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, and Bachelor of Architecture with distinction at the University of Wales College of Cardiff. Esther has a particular interest in the contractual and legal issues surrounding the practice of architecture, and contract administration in general. In 2020, she became a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She is particularly interested in how truly successful design has to balance a broad range of issues such as accessibility and aesthetics, cost control and contractual requirements, form and function.

Laura Sebire

Laura Sebire BSc(Hons) MArch ARB RIBA

Associate and Chartered Architect

Laura joined CCD in 2021, bringing more than 20 years of industry experience. For over a decade, she worked on significant historic buildings across the UK for a respected conservation based practice in Bath, itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Laura moved to Guernsey in 2018, where she became an Associate Director at another local company. She became an Associate at CCD in 2025. Laura has worked as a project architect on a wide range of projects, including domestic extensions and renovations, conversions, and commercial developments. Many of these involved conservation work on historic properties. Laura has a careful and thoughtful approach to design. She is particularly interested in preserving buildings and landscapes of character, combining traditional and modern architectural design, and detailing bespoke interiors.

Charlie Hodder

Charlie Hodder BA(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA

Associate and Chartered Architect

Charlie is a Chartered Architect with a wealth of experience of delivering successful projects and an infectious passion for housing design. Charlie became a chartered architect in 1999 and worked for many years in the UK with a leading architectural practice specialising in housing design before returning with his wife to raise their two boys in Guernsey. Charlie will always pursue architectural excellence; he has great communication skills, design flair and an in-depth understanding of sustainable principles. In recent years he started the ‘St Peter Port Sketch Club’, which seeks to improve our drawing skills whilst learning more about our town.

Antoinette Fooks

Antoinette Fooks BSc(Hons) MCIAT

Senior Chartered Architectural Technologist

Antoinette’s role in the practice is broad; contract administration, technical drawing and design, excelling in three-dimensional presentation and modelling. Recent interests also include interior detailing and scheduling. Antoinette joined CCD in 2008 achieving her qualifications, including her First Class Honours Degree in Architectural Technology through London South Bank University in 2017, preceded by a 5-year apprenticeship through the Guernsey College of Further Education culminating in her Higher National Diploma – all whilst in employment with the company.

Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe BSc(Hons)

Building Surveyor and Architectural Technologist

After completing his A-levels Rob joined CCD in 2010 as an Architectural Technologist. During this time Rob undertook a part-time course at the Guernsey College of Further Education, and achieved a distinction in both his BTEC and then the Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment. Rob has been involved in many of the diverse range of projects in CCD’s portfolio allowing him to gain experience across all types of work and building styles. Rob developed a particular interest in surveying, taking on much of the company's measured survey work. Rob went to the UK to complete a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying Course, passing with a 1st Class Honours, while still assisting with Condition Surveys and Reports, and Schedules of Condition. Rob now works for us remotely on specific ‘technical’ packages such as Building Regulation submissions and construction detailing, but returns regularly to carry out condition surveys on a variety of properties in the Bailiwick.

Amelia Brown

Amelia Brown BSc(Hons) M.Arch PG Dip Arch ARB RIBA

Chartered Architect

Amelia first joined CCD in 2014, having graduated with a BSc (Hons) from the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff. She became Chartered with the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2020. With over five years of experience as a Chartered Architect, working locally on a range of domestic and commercial projects, Amelia rejoined CCD in 2025. Passionate about working across all stages of a project, Amelia thrives in collaborating closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop thoughtful design solutions. Amelia also works closely with consultants and contractors, ensuring smooth communication and coordination throughout the course of each project.

Tom Gaudion

Chartered Architect

After a decade of experience in the local architecture industry, Tom joined CCD in 2024, having qualified as a chartered architect in 2020. Tom is passionate about building design and detail, he embraces a diverse range of styles, from contemporary to traditional. Working across all work stages, he finds refined and practical solutions to architectural challenges. Passionate about exploring new technologies and emerging trends, Tom strives to continuously improve and develop the services CCD can offer.

Itunu Ekoh

Itunu Ekoh BSc MArch

Architectural Designer

Before moving to Guernsey in 2019, Itunu had practised for over 5 years in Nigeria on a range of residential and commercial projects. After graduating from OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, Itunu gained a wealth of experience in contemporary residential design. Itunu is currently working towards the conversion of her Nigerian qualification to RIBA Part 3 and looks forward to becoming a Chartered Architect in Guernsey. With her knowledge and skills of Autodesk Revit and 3D visualisation programme, one of her core competences is producing 3D realistic images of our projects and using BIM to generate innovative architectural designs while helping our clients achieve their objectives.

Neil Hipkiss

Neil Hipkiss

Senior Architectural Technologist

Neil is an experienced architectural technologist and designer, working for over 40 years in the public and private sectors on a vast array of projects. He joined CCD in 2009 to provide technical assistance after previously working for architectural practices in the UK as an associate and senior designer. Within CCD, Neil prepares design and technical drawings, being particularly skilled in working with the classical orders, and has notable expertise in fine detailing of all types of masonry and joinery. He works on a variety of projects, specialising in individual high quality residential commissions. Neil is also a long established professional artist in his own right, focusing on the technical subjects of aviation and automotive art.

Laurence Smith

Laurence Smith BA MSc

Trainee Architectural Technologist

Laurence came to architectural design through an unconventional route, transitioning after more than a decade as a visual effects artist in the feature film industry. That experience sharpened his skills in materials, spatial composition, and photorealistic imaging. These are strengths that he now applies to architecture, combining creative vision with technical expertise across the built environment.

Since moving into the profession, Laurence has worked on projects from concept design through to detailed technical drawings and coordination. He enjoys problem-solving within the design and construction process, ensuring creative ideas are delivered as practical, buildable solutions. His background has also given him advanced digital proficiency and a strong eye for detail, which he brings to his work with CCD.
Laurence has recently completed an MSc in Architectural Technology & Design at Leeds Beckett University and is currently working toward Chartered status (MCIAT).

Max Betley

Max Betley BSc(Hons) MArch

RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Max first joined CCD during his gap year, before commencing his Bachelor Degree at the University of Bath and spending a year at the Technische Universität in Munich. He rejoined CCD in 2017, developing his skills in carrying out measured surveys, three-dimensional modelling, producing graphic presentations and Planning application packages. He left the island in 2021 to complete his Masters degree in Architecture, returning in 2024 to continue his training to become a fully-qualified architect.

Bilal Assif

Bilal Assif

Trainee Architectural Technologist

Bilal is an eager and motivated trainee Architectural Technologist. He returned to the island from Solent University and has completed his training at The Guernsey Institute. He’s a technical problem solver with a foundation in Mathematics and enjoys applying his scientific mind to the creative challenges of the construction industry.
