I came to architectural design through an unconventional route, transitioning after more than a decade as a visual effects artist in the feature film industry. That experience sharpened my skills in materials, spatial composition, and photorealistic imaging. These are strengths that I now apply to architecture, combining creative vision with technical expertise across the built environment.
Since moving into the profession, I have worked on projects from concept design through to detailed technical drawings and coordination. I particularly enjoy problem-solving within the design and construction process, ensuring creative ideas are delivered as practical, buildable solutions. My background has also given me advanced digital proficiency and a strong eye for detail, which I bring to my work with CCD.
I am currently completing an MSc in Architectural Technology & Design at Leeds Beckett University while working toward Chartered status (MCIAT). Architectural technology appeals to me because it balances creativity with technical rigour, enabling me to develop designs that are imaginative, compliant, and grounded in real-world performance.
