Les Grandes Mielles Farm
Les Grandes Mielles Farm has been transformed from a derelict farmhouse into a spacious, elegant family home, blending historic character with contemporary comfort.

This historic farmhouse, comprising a six-bedroom main building with four reception rooms and an adjacent three-bedroom cottage, was in a state of disrepair when our clients approached CCD. The brief was to create a comfortable, generously proportioned family home while respecting the property’s heritage.
A three-storey extension was added to the rear, accompanied by a sympathetic lean-to conservatory with a solid roof. New oak fenestration was introduced throughout, and the brick chimney stacks rebuilt in local granite, enhancing the farmhouse’s historic character. Comprehensive insulation improved the building’s thermal performance without compromising its traditional appearance.
To the rear, a swimming pool and sun terrace extend directly from the living spaces, framed by a fully landscaped garden. A covered parking area, built using traditional construction methods, links the main house with the cottage, providing both practical connectivity and a sense of architectural continuity.
